For those members who do
not wish to belong to a geographical chapter or who do not live in an
area with a geographical chapter, CSPE has created the Virtual Chapter.
The Virtual Chapter enables any member to communicate electronically
with their peers. CSPE's Virtual Chapter has a representative
on the state Board of Directors:
the programmatic functions are handled by the CSPE Functional Vice
Presidents.
CSPE offers a Virtual CSPE Chapter
to give members who are not able to participate in a traditional
local chapter the opportunity to benefit from the program and
services of CSPE.
Some of the benefits and activities
you could be involved with include:

You will be given access to the Virtual Chapter Web Site and
can “meet” the other members in the virtual chapter.

You can participate in the CSPE Blog, FaceBook messaging,
regular e-mails from CSPE including online newsletters and
legislative alerts.

You will automatically be a member of the state chapter of
CSPE and can participate in any local chapter event as well
depending on your choice.

You can hold leadership positions, including officer
positions for the Virtual Chapter. We will elect officers
to lead online discussions. You could also hold a state
officer position representing the Virtual Chapter on the
CSPE State Board.

You will be invited to attend the State and Local Chapter
events and be part of EWeek functions occurring around the
state. You will also have access to the full CSPE webpages
www.cspe.com

You will receive regular e-mails from the NSPE and
engineering trends.

You are invited to attend all CSPE and NSPE Annual Meetings
and are welcome to volunteer at local MATHCOUNTS
competitions throughout the state.
